Community paint-a-long 3: Large Model.

Postby mcfonz » Wed Oct 08, 2014 7:39 pm

Round three. Large Model - so named because if I said beast or monster it would perhaps limit the pool a little. Large Model is therefore meant to be a catch all for a large monster or beast type miniature as well as those that are mounted for fantasy, and the likes of 40k dreadnaughts or mechs from other systems as well as bikes, tanks and aircraft from other systems.

For smaller scales this may include things like drop-ships or larger than normal models so perhaps ships as well. Hopefully this will be generic enough that most of you will have something on your painting list that falls into this rather large and generic paint a long.

This one is going to run from now until Sunday 7th December 2014.

If you like your terrain - keep an eye out in the habitat forum as well!

Ready? Steady! PAINT!

Did I not send you anything that could count? Kill 2 birds with 1 stone if I did :)

I'm going to do this one by the way, I'll be home and setled in time that I'll be able to start doing such stuff again. And it'll give everyone a laugh at how rusty I am :oops2:

I assume warmachines would fit, might take a crack at finishing my Halfling Thing Flinger. I failed miserably in the lastpaint-a-long so will try to start (and finish) early

Hmm, I might join in again and do my 1st Gen plague model from deadzone.

And if I finish that I have some large pieces from Crooked Claw that I might have a crack at too.

I'm going with the Stonehaven troll. Prepped him and got the base and flesh tone blocked in so far.
Pretty simple mini (well, about 80mm tall I think) but should be fun :)

Will get a better picture ASAP as this one seems to have flattened a lot of the shading that I have done with layers of careful dry brushing. Still you get the idea. Were Rabbit! This is no ikkle wabbit either - it's as big as a GW minotaur I have also sitting on my workbench right now.
