Gritty, dirty smoke stacks for Shadow War:

No interest in the clean GW look for the bottom of the hive - messy, dirty and dead plants ahead!

Finally finished these evil trash bins. All of those little black bubbles are a real pain.

Well, yes that did catch my eye! Nice work!
If you think the skirt spheres are a pain on these, you should try them on the old 80's Citadel range. Teeney, tiny ickle Dalek balls...fahhhhsans of 'em!

Base coated the original Warmachine Cryx battlebox and a Pistol Wraith Solo.
I'm going for a coastal raiders theme, with lots of revenent crew and Satyxis raiders, so basing them to look like they're stomping on a beach, and going for a dark blue and dirty metal scheme (dirt yet to be applied...)

I can imagine... [RESPECT!]

@countersunk81: curious to see those finished. What's the base colour?

I'm back from vacation and added a few details to the rogue trader from some weeks ago and wrapped up "Harald the Hammerer" as well:

Those are both fantastic connexion, lovely work!

The bases are GW Zandri dust drybrushed with Ushabti bone. I might add some shadows with sepia wash.

Oh, sorry :oops2: :D

The blue is P3 Coal Black (it's not black at all. GW Incubi Darkness is very similar).
Steel is P3 Pig Iron.
Copper is GW Hashut Copper and gold is Balthasar Gold
Bone and glow bits are GW Ulthuan Grey.

Nice work Connexion

Ive been working away on this "guy" for my scrappers crew.

Image

Image

"Jeff" before the event overtook everything was an overseer in a wildlife preserve, aiding the humans with capture and containment for treatment/ husbandry or even culling purposes. Mother found him sitting watching over the remains of his herd. A brief mental override ensured she was able to erase the programmed protocols and insert her own. Now Jeff serves in much the same capacity as before only the herd are bipedal now!

Lovely colour. No idea what I'd do with it but won't hurt to have it (or a Vallejo equivalent if it ever comes around) in the paint collection...

More speed-ish painting for Silver Tower and a few touches in a metal (i.e., deserving of painting care and attention) objective marker:

Image

The rat has been zenitally primed and, so far, the cloaks were painted exclusively with Vallejo Game Color washes/shades.

The flamer was painted with inks and highlighted with paints. For the flames I'm experimenting with washes made with Vallejo Air flow improver.

Cheers!

Closest Vallejo is Deep Sea Blue I believe. It's one that David Soper (he of many Slayer Swords) swears by :D

Thanks! Here's the newest (and not very impressive, I fear):

Image
(my 4 year-old daughter picked the colours for the base and did a rush job on it too)

Nearing the home stretch for ST... one more exotic adversary to finish (the herald) and then wrap up some quick heroes (the runepriest, the grey seer and the knight azyros) before tackling (i.e., not rushing!) my 3 favourite miniatures of the set: the mistweaver, the shard and the skink (ok, that's my daughter's favourite after the book familiar!).

Cheers!

EDIT: Deep Sea Blue, right? Noted with thanks! :)
