80s Pulp project

Postby White Knight » Fri Apr 21, 2017 5:55 pm

The project I'm mostly working on at the moment is an 80s pulp one, based on some cartoons and toys from the period.

My first use of clear bases too and I like it, though it takes a bit of work to prepare them.

Basic goons in blue:

Elite troopers in red (they got a corporate logo added to the chest since:

Like ther red more out of the two.

I think it's the white lines that lift the figures above the blue.

I prefer the red ones too. The blues were painted after a long hiatus and definitely showing it.

Also did these androids for the project:

And a comparison of the three:

I have one of the characters painted so far, though it didn't come out as well as I hoped. I'll be doing a few more versions of her with different colour schemes (a red one and a blue one to be precise).

(She was a miscast mastercasting, missing one of her heels, fixed with some greenstuff since taking the picture).

She reminds me of a certain Shield agent :) as the pose is 100% May - excellent sculpt.

One picture that I saw (and hunted just for you) shows some of the clothing is actually a dark blue - not something that shows up on my screens at home (despite one being colour profiled)...

I really really hope a scale weather dominator is somewhere in the works.
