Quick comparison - Northstar spears on 1/72

Right, so a nice chap on one of the random platypus youtube vids asked if the 50mm Northstar spears would work with 1/72 scale miniatures.

So, I took a couple of snaps:

I can't remember what make those are but I think Italeri or Revell. Anyway, as you can see, they would make fantastic pikes but for spears or lances you would probably need to shorten them. That chap actually has a hole in his hand to take a plastic equivalent that I seem to have lost, and it sits perfectly in there so a bit of superglue and he'd be readied for painting. The spear tip doesn't seem out of scale either.

Looks fine to me, cutting them to size is certainly not much of a hardship.
