Okko's Chronicles Setsuka 40mm

Sclupted by Patrick Mason. The other models I've seen from Okko's Chronicles have been 32mm, so I think he may be measuring to the top of the headdress. I think he's done a fantastic job with the details on the model and the headdress is fascinating to look at.

So...what do you think of that model?

I've not heard of the books before today but do like this figure. I assume the lack of hand is key to the story (TLDR).

France has been moving that direction lately. And I saw a US company offering 40mm for their board game figures not too long ago as well.

Smithy is bang on . . . . . it does seem to be a euro thing for more paintable pieces.

It's a shame that they did not go for the classic 54mm for the singles but I assume it's a cost issue.

I know a long time ago I was part of a discussion on a Yahoo group about using 40mm but basing on normal 28mm scale bases and a few folk had done that by reducing the number per base to great results (ACW had the largest selection at that time).

Well if it is 40mm scale and not just 40mm tall as Imp speculates at least they're honest. Most of these Spanish/French companies will claim 35mm and even 32 and 30mm for 40mm minis.

Excuse the terrible image but you can see the 30mm...

Is that from the top of the high heeled boots or from the sole? And how tall are the heels?
