[TTCombat] Rumbleslam

Postby Cait Sidhe » Tue Feb 14, 2017 7:53 pm

TTCombat has put the rumbleslam stuff up in their store for pre-order folowing the successful KS a while back. Shit loads of pics inc... Just posting the teams, there's also a bunch of individual models of not-minis. Some fun stuff, I would be curious as to how it plays.

...and of course a ring...

Disspointed in the lack of provided ropes but easy to do I guess.

Love this stuff. The paint jobs make it look kind of rubbery though. Can't wait to see what a better painter can do with them.

So...what do you think of that model?

Brave you all!
What a superb game this is and will become, my prediction was weak and we will be many more.
Thank you all and see you again here, in breathing life, never where popular opinion dies

you beat me to it, Never thought a mankini could look good but he somehow carries it off.

It doesn't leave much to the imagination. Let's hope he doesn't get a boner.

Strange how the new figures lack the dynamism of the teams - shame really.

As for playing the game, like you I wonder what it would be like as with very little room to move does it become a bit of a dice fest / lucky roll style game?

I actually picked up the game at Salute and have since played it, though only with a single wrestler each (4 player game). It's quite fun and to some extent luck does come into it as it uses multiple dice rolls but I also see where a lot more strategy and positioning applies when using a team of wrestlers with different strengths. The ring is 10x10 and your fastest wrestlers can move like 5, though you can always bounce off the ropes to get around without spending your movement points. A lot of the fun is in the randomness like a wrestler attempting to supplex an opponent only for them to roll way higher on their defence triggering a reversal. :)

I want to add these two to my Space Mutants.

Naturally, they'll be blond, have Germanic accents and used to have a Vegas act before becoming evil henchmen for an SS Uberbitch Space Nazi, but I'm afraid that's the kind of Universe we live in...

Concept is carrying this, looks fun but shit and I'd have probably played it for a year in the early 90s.

I've actually got the game, but I haven't played it. Got in on the Kickstarter with a friend of mine, completely forgot about it and then it turned up at his house just as I was about to leave for the UK and Ireland, so I haven't even seen it. I have a soft spot for pro wrestling, so if it's any good, I assume I'll enjoy it. Just played the GW board game Gorechosen yesterday, I wonder if this is anything like it.

More new wreslters released. I think this is stuff from the Kickstarter ages ago but they're staggering the releases over time.
