I might actually get into this.

No campaign rules... seems like a wasted opportunity. I really like the warmachine mechanics (attack vs defence, strength vs armour), they're the perfect granularity for me. Would have been great to have a skirmish game with a campaign xp system attached.

Privateer's RPGs, Iron Kingdoms and Unleashed, would be very easy to adapt into a skirmish campaign.

Actually that's a solid point, I have the Iron Kingdoms RPG (and the rest from a bundle) and it is pretty much the same rules.
