So Salute 2017 is approaching, I've got a game booked with my local club the Gamers in Thanet Society and thought I might as well start early in putting the boards together.

I don't know why but this made me laugh plenty. Even after the set up and the explicit notice of 'starting' to put boards together, I saw the big picture of paint and board, figured this would be the first in an after action report of a frantic weekend. ... scroll down to peruse the inevitable series of images and comments in a paint slapping, brow furrowing, problem solving thread. . .

Rather excitingly I painted the MDF tiles "dirty protest" brown, and then had to squeeze together a temporary table to get an idea of layout. Luckily I already have some buildings painted for this project...
