Looks like a complicated espresso machine. :D
Pushing threads to page 2 since 2001.

So...what do you think of that model?

The vertical aspect does leave me wondering how the hell it will work but lets worry about those details later...

Well, I do ponder about that myself a fair bit. I initially saw it as kind of Kill-Team mission with a few commando types against a horde of nasties. I'm not the biggest fan of modern 40K so I'd probably retrofit it to Rogue Trader.
Then again, although I've been talking about 40k stuff like Nurgle and Termies, I'd also like to squeeze it into my fucked up Post Apoc alien world nonsense where the Forces of Unpleasantness are creating a toxic army of mutants to take over what's left of the planet. 1st ed Shockforce rules are pretty bog simple and to add elementary rules for climbing, falling and cover wouldn't be much of a pain.

I'm not familiar with Shockforce, but if it manages the verticality (I guess that's a word?) it will be brilliant in this terrain.
Are you be going to installing stair and ladders within, and allow movement around/outside the walls?

Ladders are something very much on my mind. I'm trying to decide between the 'flat' sort of ladder that fits flush against walls, some interesting types I've seen online made out of plastic hair curlers, or some slightly wonky post apoc types. Maybe I'll do a mixture.
Movement will be allowed wherever there is an obvious opening, whether that is because of the open layout or a door embedded into the wall. Walls will also be climbable whether through piping or ladders and the front, back and sides accesible from each other.
I'm toying with idea that the piping has hatchways so you can climb inside and move to the other end. Could be risky if I allow grenade rules...

A little enforced time away from work on the polystyrene beast this week...
I work on a few projects at a time depending on mood and so I always snaffle away any interesting packaging and bits of cardboard. Anything I think might be of more use to me than the recycle bin.
My poor long suffering wife was telling me to get this stuff sorted into a more organised fashion as you couldn't even get the door to my studio/man cave/pit open fully because of the cardboard pieces behind it. I told her it was no trouble and it just needed a bit of a tidy.

My Father in Law made me a cracking pair of 7 foot high bookshelves to go into my pit and so I decided to rearrange the room to make full use of the space.

So I started to remove and bag up the junk.

Jesus H. Smithfuck on a spunky biscuit!!!

It looked like an episode of Hoarders.

This photo shows what is left on the landing after about 3 sacks of crap have been taken away and several still remain inside the room.

I have no idea how it got this bad.
I really did think it was just a few pizza boxes and some bottles and bottle tops. I was clearing it out all yesterday and this still remains...

That's the sort of sight you associate with dead bodies and bottles of stale piss. Finish the job, Rev.

Status update:
Tried to fill the bottles with piss but ended up spilling half of it down myself and I drank the rest.
Wife has removed all sharp objects from my grasp so I am unable to add any dead bodies.
Cats have agreed to eat my rotting corpse, though, so some progress at least.

I am now trapped under the mountain of junk.
My cries and pleas for help go unheeded.
A cat licks my face.
Relishing the feast to come.

Well, I don't drink tea from a mug.
OK, maybe a Denby mug occasionally but otherwise it has to be teacups and saucers.

Day three.
My cries have brought help!!!
Salvation!

wait...nope.

Wife just threw another pizza box on the pile.
Landed right on my face. I think she's trying to stifle the noise.
I shall try to shout quieter.

Have you gained the trust of the pizza boxes yet? Have they accepted you as one of their own?

Have the people's republic of plastic coffee cups rallied against your presence yet? I was once in a similar situation and lost a fight with a bit of old carpet tube. Tough as nails it was . . . . . well, almost.

Finally managed to crawl out from under the junk.

Covered in lice and reeking of piss. So all is normal on that front.

I think a cardboard roll ate my underpants.

A quickie update with some piss poor photo snaps.

Long story short: Ripped off some crap, stuck other crap on. Discovered some cheap as chips desk organiser thingies that with a bit on snipping and wotnot make some nice gantries and platforms. Ladders to be added.

Sorry about the shitty pics (and try to ignore other bits of junk based projects lurking nearby) but I'll try to take some better ones later.

Still very much a work in progress. One of the great things about gluesticks is that they fix stuff sturdy enough to hold it firmly in place but also allow you to rip bits off when you change your mind.

Also, the Plague Lab theme is out. Gone. Sayonara.
I was pondering again about a chemical plant/refinery and this was my favourite theme until I made the mistake of asking my wife. "What do you think that looks like, darling,' I asked her, 'because I'm not sure I know what the hell it is anymore.'
'It looks like a really fucked up tower block,' she replied, 'Reminds me a bit of the one in Dredd.'

So now, it's vaguely heading towards a kind of tower block, perhaps not quite the movie Dredd one. Maybe a bit of a mash up between my own brainfarts and the Dredd comic book ones.
A kind of Mega City Rev, perhaps.

Looks great to me. A bit like the base in Mad Max: Fury Road too. Perhaps the remnants of a hab block in the wastes?

I'm liking that hab block remnants idea a lot - especially as I got the old Cursed Earth Desperadoes under their new title of Mutant Street Gang from Rebel Minis for Xmas!

To be honest, although I bloody love Post Apoc stuff from the Cursed Earth to Mad Max and a thousand cheesy 80's rippoffs inbetween, I've held back a bit from it recently because of the preponderance of projects about based on video games like Fallout and all that sort of thing.

On the other hand, fuck it - if I want a cheesy Post Apoc future with chainsaws welded to heads and mohawk haired punks then I should just bloody do it!

Hmmm...should I convert Gorkamorka to something more generic, dig out Mutants and Death Ray Guns or invest in something new like Scrappers...options, options...
